09 Feb One of 2017’s best – Kendall-Jackson Sauvignon Blanc

Things to be leery of:  internet deals, one-size-fits-all anything and “Best Buy” lists.

Wine Enthusiast, one of the top magazines in the business, released its Top 100 Best Buys of 2017 a few weeks ago.  Amongst the Top 100, Kendall Jackson’s Vintner’s Reserve Sauvignon Blanc.  Saw that and immediately reacted with a “Really?  Kendall-Jackson? On a “Best Buy” list?”

As the saying goes, “O ye of little faith”.

  In this case, “ye” would be me.  

K-J’s version of this classic wine has a bit less acid and a bit more tropical fruit flavor than you would expect from sauvignon blanc.  On it’s own, it’s quite pleasant. With seafood, it’s a great match.  And for less than $13, it’s the epitome a best buy.  One more admirable feature:  you won’t have any trouble tracking it down.
